To determine if you have a steel crank or not, you can check the original balancer to see if it has any offset weight on the front. If you do not have the original balancer, you will need to inspect the crankshaft, looking at the mold parting line, If it's a narrow ridge, it has a cast crank, and cannot use this balancer. If it's a wide (1/4"-3/8") raised area, it's steel & you can use this balancer successfully.
