Die-cut underhood insulation for 1977-1981 models (except Turbo).
Die-cut fiber insulation pads install on the underside of the hood, protecting it from engine heat and reducing noise. Our reproduction pads are constructed of a flame-retardant rough-mesh fiber material with an original-type green/gray coloring. The stiffener on the back is like the original and keeps this pad from sagging. Mounting clips are included.
NOTE: 1969-1981 Trans Am models and 1970-1975 Formula 350, 400, and 455 models did NOT use under-hood insulation. When installing your new hood pad, remember to face the rough side towards the engine. The printed side should be against the underside of the hood.
