T-5 Manual transmission - The speedometer drive gear in a T-5 manual transmission is replaceable, but requires removal of the tailshaft housing. Be sure to count your speedometer gear teeth since the number of teeth varied over the years. These numbers are calculated for a tire size of 225/60/15. For example, a car with 3.27:1 rear-axle gears would use a 7-tooth transmission drive gear (# SGM7) and a 19-tooth speedometer drive gear (# SGM19).
