MSD iron distributor gear for Ford 351W V8 engines with 0.531 shaft diameter.
This distributor gear is made from a proprietary ductile iron with an increased outer hardened layer thickness, and Melonite QPQ coated to reduce friction and initial wear. The surfaces are then micro polished for smooth contact. Interstitional carbide concentration improves wear resistance and running properties.
