Powermaster Mastertorque starter for 1967-1971 Ford models with FE 390/427/428 V8 engine.
With 5-position indexing and a billet-aluminum adapter block, this starter has the same clearance as the stock starter but with much more power. It has a 4.4:1 gear reduction and a hefty 180 ft./lbs. of torque for cranking engines with up to 12:1 compression. The unique design puts an end to heat soak problems. Includes instructions and wiring kit for use with the included external solenoid.
Each Powermaster starter includes a dyno sheet so you can see exactly how your new starter performs. This product is discount exempt.
