Die-cut underhood insulation pad for 1964 models. Includes original-style metal clips.
Die-cut fiber insulation pad installs on the underside of the hood keeping engine heat and noise from the hood. This reproduction pad is constructed of a flame-retardant rough mesh fiber material with a green/gray coloring like that used by the original manufacturer. The stiffener on the back is like the original and keeps this pad from sagging after a short period of time. This pad does not have the correct molding like the molded pad. Mounting clips are included.
NOTE: 1964-1967 models originally came with metal hood pad retaining clips, while 1968-1977 models used plastic clips. Hood pads install with the rough side toward the engine and the hard black surface facing the underside of the hood.
