Billet main cap set for 1964-1972 Oldsmobile V8 engines.







Constructed of billet steel with no sharp edges, these main caps are superior to a girdle. A girdle requires that holes be drilled, weakening the block in the process. By installing these machined main caps, the crankshaft area is strengthened without compromising block stability. The caps measure 0.005" undersize on each side so that the block may be machined to square register.

Up to 0.040" may be removed to allow for main bore movement. All main caps are notched for easy removal and the stud holes are spot faced for accurate torque readings. Sold as a set of 4. Black-oxide anodized finish. This product is discount exempt.
