Power steering conversion kit for small block equipped 1955-1957 Chevrolet models using a stock steering column, short water pump and side engine mounts. Fits 3/4-36 Spline Column
This kit uses your stock pitman arm, drag link, and tie rods and comes with everything necessary to complete the conversion including: Borgeson Delphi 600 Power Steering Conversion Box- Economy Steering Column Floor Mount- Power Steering Pump- Power Steering Pulley- Power Steering Hose- Pump Bracket- Rag Joint
The use of side engine mounts are required to use this kit. For those with front engine mounts you will need pump bracket # to complete the conversion. If your car was originally equipped with factory power assist you will need a drag link from a manual steering car or our drag link adapter ( part # AD629 ). When using a stock steering column it will need to be shortened approximatly 3", because this is a major modification we recomend replacing the stock column with a Flaming River column and using conversion kit PC142. The 600 steering box offers more precise control and smoother quiet ride through the steering range along with better performance and is less prone to leaks than old 605 box that most kits come with.
