Power steering conversion kit for small block equipped 1955-1957 Chevrolet models using an aftermarket Flaming River steering column, short water pump and side engine mounts.







This kit uses your stock pitman arm, drag link, and tie rods and has everything necessary to complete the conversion including:Remanufactured 600 Steering gearbox.Rag joint.Self-contained pump with bracket and pulley.Two-piece rubber hoses.Polished floor mount for column.

The use of side engine mounts is required to use this kit. For those with front engine mounts you will need pump bracket # AD627 to complete the conversion. If your car was originally equipped with factory power assist you will need a drag link from a manual steering car or our drag link adapter ( part # AD629 ). The 600 steering box offers more precise control and smoother, quiet ride through the steering range -- along with better performance. It is also less prone to leaks than the old 605 box that most kits come with.
