The Ignitor II is Pertronix's latest version of the Ignitor electronic ignition. It uses a microcontroller which maintains peak energy at all rpm. It develops 3 times more energy and 2 times more voltage than the original Ignitor. It increases dwell and makes for easier starting. The microprocessor can sense problems with the ignition system and will shut down to protect the coil and other components. It retains the same stock look as the original Ignitor.
