45th Anniversary Mustang Supply to be Limited Minimize

According to autoweek.com, Ford will celebrate the 45th anniversary of their iconic pony car by limiting production to 45,000 examples. This is quite a drop from normal Mustang production levels - for example Ford built about that many cars in the first five months of 2008 production.

Demand for 2009 models is expected to lessen, however, since an updated model is expected to be shown this year, and become available as a 2010 model. Typically, sales of current models are sluggish when a redesign is just around the corner, so Ford is being clever by limiting production of the anniversary model, thereby ensuring decent demand and good transaction prices for their dealers.

The '09 Anniversary model will include special 45th Anniversary badging, along with a new glass roof option and other slight changes.
