McQ Progress Report Minimize

Dave Hall and the guys at Restore a Muscle Car have done a great job on the foundation of our '73 Trans Am. Getting the body in shape and making sure the floors and other structure is sound is paramount to building a high-level car that will stay as such for many years.

After the metalwork was finished, the guys made sure everything was straight and laid on a fresh coat of Brewster green paint. Once the shell and the various components were painted, the front and rear suspension was put in place, and the car became a roller. Next, the engine and transmission was bolted in, and the fitting of the rest of the body panels began.

Dave and his guys are almost done with their part of the project. The car will be coming back to YearOne for the rest of the build. We're gassed, though, because thanks to the efforts of Restore a Muscle Car, our McQ Trans Am once again looks like a car!

1973 Trans Am - Project McQ Minimize

SOMETIMES, you just do not have the time to work on a car for yourself.  This is the case with the McQ73 Brewster Green Trans Am. This car ranks right at the top of my list for FAVORITES. The good news is that the car is in the capable hands of Dave Hall, owner of Restore A Muscle Car in Lincoln, Nebraska. Dave is overseeing all the body work and paint (the original Brewster Green, of course) and will then deliver the car back to us here at YearOne for the 'birds final assembly. I cannot say enough about the quality of work that Restore A Muscle Car does on these old Pontiacs, and this is why one of our babies was sent there. When you have a friend like this, TIME is no longer an issue. You can expect the work to be done correctly in a timeline you can easily accept. Thanks Guys.
