Sure, we all like wrenching on stuff, but there comes a time when any gearhead worth his toolbox needs to climb behind the wheel and point the nose of their hot rod toward the great open road. That's right, we're talking Road Trip, here. And not just any road trip - a chowder run from Boston to Atlanta that ends at one of the largest YearOne events of the year. The clincher? It's all for charity!
Here's the lowdown:
The Drivin' It Home Tour is leaving from Boston, Massachusetts on Sunday, 9/11, traveling mostly backroads through some really cool areas with planned nightly stops at various locations. We're setting up some fun activities at each stop so not only will you get great scenery, we'll be partying when the day's driving is done.
Once we get to our hometown of Braselton, Georgia, the festivities kick into high gear! On Thursday, 9/15 we arrive at YearOne for tours of the facility and wrap up the day. On Friday, 9/16, we will cruise from YearOne to Gresham Motorsports Park; Drivin' It Home participants will have the opportunity to drive their own vehicle on the banked speedway of Gresham Motorsports Park. But the big finish is Saturday, 9/17, when we host our annual Chip Foose Braselton Bash car show. There will be hundreds of cars, thousands of people, a silent auction and all kinds of other activities going on. It will be a great finish to a fantastic week of fun and fellowship.
The best part of all, of course, is the fact that all the proceeds from the Drivin' It Home Tour and the Foose Edition Braselton Bash will go to support the Hot Rodders Children's Charity. What could be better - spending a week on the road with other gearheads, enjoying a great show, and supporting a worthwhile children's causes all at the same time!
