Great Job on the BRE Transam!  I noticed that the Tremec 5 speed is integrated with the A/T console.  Keisler Engineering offers the TKO 5 speed w/ an internal offset shifter that requires the M/T console.  I ume the TKO for the BRE is stock (shifter is center rear on the housing).  What problems, if any, did you encounter getting it to fit?  Did you have to move the engine and transmission rearward to clear the smaller A/T console opening?  Did you use an external offset shifter?  It definitly was worth the effort.  It looks good, better actually than a M/T console.  By the way, what happened to the billet door hinges that were offered on the parts page?  They were there a month ago, now they're not.

I Am also interested in the transmisson swap with the automatic console. I think it looks better.  I'm Wanting to put the 5spd in mine.  Also does the mini tubs require different interior panels? ANd are you going to be offering the front windsheild?

The console looks great in that car, but unfortunately it was necessary to use an external offset shifter.  I will try to find out if the external linkage is available for retail.

As for the billet hinges, they were recently discontinued by the manufacturer.  It is uncertain if they will be available in the future.

Dave,

You should still be able to use the stock rear interior panels.  Other modifications might be necessary.

Later today I will post again with more information.

The rear seat back supports will need to be modified for the mini tubs, but the stock interior panels remain unmodified.

We used an external shifter from ProMotion, www.promotionpowertrain.com, but it needed to be slightly modified.
