Hey guys, First off, Thanks for bringing some very cool TA products to the marketplace...

I am curious about the rear axle width using the 18" x 12"Billet wheels, say spacing between rear wheel flange to other rear wheel

flange?? What mfg and type of rearend?? It the minitub really only 3" on the Ban 3's?? Sorry, for all the ??'s , but I will be taking my 79'

down to the Race Fab shop in Knoxville for a complete 4-link, minitub and rear drive installed and am planning on using the same wheel/tire combo from YearOne.. any help would be much appreciated...

Also, on the Ban 3, what autotrans is offered... I have a 505 stroker with 14:1 and dyno'd at 746 so I need a good tranny??any input?

Thanks for the kind words. The rear axle embly is a Moser 12-bolt. Width from axle flange to flange is 54-1/2". 2nd generation F-cars have pretty good space in the rear wheel wells to start with, so there was no need to go bigger to fit our largest wheel/tire package, which is 18x12 with 5.5" backspacing, 335-30-18 tire.

An automatic trans is not offered on the BAN III package due to the power output of the engines. BAN II cars can have an automatic, which will be a built 4L60E. For your particular combination, I would suggest talking to some reputable trans companies to see what they offer that will live at those power levels.

I hope this helps.

Hey there,

Give TransSpecialties in Aston, PA a call. They can guarrantee a TH400 tranny to 1000hp and the price really isn't too bad either. They are super nice and can hook you up with an excellent converter. Forgot to also mention that you can send your converter back to them as many times as necessary until they get the stall exactly where you want it...if you are indeed that obsessed.

Take care,

Dave
