Okay, here's your chance to talk about the Burt Reynolds Edition TA. What do you think? What parts of the car does everyone like? Dislike? Speak now or forever hold your.... Well, you can speak now or speak later. But we'd prefer you spoke now.

Really like most of the car.  Love the head lights, I want them for my 77.  Not really fond of most of the interior.  Really do not like the gauge panel.  The gauges look recessed in, don't like the looks of the air controls.  The door panels are ok, like the console.  I would have to sit in the seats to give an opinion on them.  Like the rims, really gives an option to the f-body owners who have money.  (I'm not one of them)  have not really seen a great pic of the flush wheel spoilers.  Over all I like the car, but I have sorta given up on Year one, as I have ordered a catalog 3 different time and have never recieved one (even after paying the 7.95 for it).  That really sucks, cause I really want the headlights/Grills.

Thanks for the input on the car. The gauge panel will be available in multiple configurations, by the way. One for aftermarket gauges (as used in the BRE), one for factory gauges with factory AC, another for factory gauges with aftermarket AC, and another for factory gauges with a block-off for custom AC controls.

As for the catalog problem, that's completely unacceptable on our end. Please email me with your information (address, which catalog, etc.) and I'll be sure to get a catalog to you immediately. Email to: kmaney@yearone.com

Hi Guys,

I really like the new BRE Trans Am, especially the door panels with the turned aluminum inserts.  The custom bird on the hood is slick too.  Question, do you plan on producing 79s with 79 nose and taillight treatments, or will all be converted to the 78 style?

Thanks for the response on the car. All BRE cars will get the 77-78 nose and tail treatment. We are planning, however, to offer a reproduction nose and tail setup for 1979-81 models in the near future. The covers will be fibergl, and will be a bolt-on like our 77-78 pieces. They will have OEM styling.

I was at the Year One Experience in Georgia & saw the car up close. I loved it.

Likes:
Flush Mounted Gl.
Modern Snowflake Wheels. (would love a set for my 81!)
Using Actual T/A Centercaps
Shaker Scoop Setup
honeycomb grills in the fender vents
Interior - door panels & seats
keeping the bird on hood & sail panel, wouldnt be a T/A Without it!

Dislikes:
Burt Reynolds was not there.
Flat Black Fender Flares & Vents
Flat Black on Bird Graphics. Im thinking using a dark gray under the clear instead.
There was no "identity" on the fenders - wouldve been neat to have the Burt Reynolds Edition Logo there.

Just my 2 cents. Overall Loved the car! Great job guys! Im glad I was able to see it in person!

Keep up the good work!

I totally like the BRE, the flat black on it helps give car a stealthy look!

I pretty much have nothin against it , except me not ownig one!

I agree with Kevin on lack of logo on fenders.

leds in rear looked sweet, and while filming the car in motion on the Ban run, it floored me!

How about a gold version w/ black accents

Being at Year One up close was frickin awesome

I love pretty much everything about this new TA.  I have a 78 that i have always wondered how to modernize and now i have something to model it after.  I do have one question, is there a website available that has the engines used in this project?

Umm....Did I read that right?  $120k for a 70's Trans Am?  Doesn't National Parts actually have the real car that Warner Bros gave to Burt?  That's probably not even worth half of what this new thing costs...wow, give me a Viper or even better, a Porsche 911...

Think GOLD pinstripping. I realize that you are creating an updated Bandit T/A, but the one item that really seems to draw the crowd to my '78 SE Black T/A is all of the Gold pinstripping that was used on the exterior of the car. Plus the Birds on the hood and pillars need to standout more. Other than the lack of accents, I pretty much like everything else about the updated version. For pics of my SE go to www.ban-one.com. Keep up the great work!! Even though I was not able to take part in the "run" this year, I was able to fly up for the show on Saturday and Sunday. I had a great time, and look forward to attending again next year, but this time with my car. Soupy
