Doors

I had a '78 T/A that I loved. A big issue I had was with the doors. They were so big and heavy the hinges started wearing down causing the fit to be not so good. I had to lift the doors right as they were shutting. I talked to other owners who had the same issues. Is this addressed with the Year One cars??

Also the windows would work themselves loose and wobble in the door and not fit well when rolled all the way up. I know these are small issues but man it was bothersome. I love the new cars and it would be a dream to once again have a Trans Am.

Hello, we're developing new, stronger hinges for the second-gen doors. They are heavy, and put lots of pressure on the hinges. Our new hinges will be available once we're satisfied they will work as advertised. As for the windows, we're also trying a couple of different solutions for regulators and motors (power, of course). More on that as we learn what works best.
