Employee Rides Minimize

Most of us at YearOne are car people. We keep the company running during the day, but by night, we're in our own garages working on our own projects. Some are muscle cars, some are street rods, some are off-road vehicles, some are motorcycles - heck there's even a boat here. The point is, we're gearheads, and we spend our free time and money pretty much the same way all gearheads do - thrashing on stuff.

Ghostworks Cars Minimize

Building project cars makes sense for us on many levels: It's a great way to showcase the parts and supplies we offer our customers. It's great R&D. It's great P.R. It's great for media relations. It's also great fun. We're gearheads just like you and building cars is what makes gearheads happy.

Most of the cars we've screwed together have been for our own use. In fact, when we started building stuff, taking on customer projects wasn't in the game plan. It didn't take long, though, for a couple of persistent enthusiasts to convince us to build something for them. As it's turned out, building for customers is pretty much just like building for us - we take the same careful approach to design, construction and attention to detail.

We have a hard time separating the cars we build for customers from our own. Once an enthusiast takes possession of a Ghostworks car, they're part of the greater YearOne family. Every car we've built for customers has traveled with us to various shows and events, and has been featured in a number of magazines and on television. The real difference, we suppose, between our in-house projects and those we build for others is that, at the end of the day, the customer cars spend the night in someone else's garage.

Ultimately it doesn't matter whose garage the car sleeps in, all Ghostworks vehicles are hand-built by a small group of craftsmen. Doing it this way means we can't churn out a large number of cars per year, but that's not what we're here for anyway. We would rather build them slowly, one at a time, and make sure we're happy with the result.
