Jason Oliver Gibson

This issue of Restoration Review is dedicated to the memory of Jason Gibson. Jason, who passed away this past June, was a very special member of our Year One family for many years.. His ready smile and relaxed nature made all in his presence feel instantly at ease. Those of us who had the privilege of knowing Jason are better people for it. Gibby, you will be missed.

And the color is . . .??

Well, the name of the accent color for this issue is Hurst Gold -- as used on the '69 Hurst/Olds. Unfortunately we have no code to give you. The cars were painted Cameo White (paint code 50, PPG code 2058) with Hurst Gold (or Fire Frost Gold as it's officially known) striping. Currently, there is no source for the original DuPont Fire Frost Gold, although rumor has it that the Demmer Corp. (the company that assembled the H/Os), has a gallon of the special color and is currently working on a match. Here's hoping they're successful..
