The yearly pitstop competition is always a crowd-pleaser. Drivers pull their cars into a makeshift pit area, tires are changed, a simulated refueling is accomplished, and the cars race to the finish line. Long smokey burnouts are a particular highlight of the action.

Al Unser, Jr. and his crew made it to the final round of the pitstop competition. Al was the crowd favorite, but polesitter Scott Sharp and his Delphi crew won the competition.
