Year One Customer Car Show

1967 Chevelle

Scott purchased this car when he was only 15 and worked like crazy so that it would be finished when he turned 16. He stripped the car down to a shell and had it sandblasted. The car received new quarter panels and a fiberglass front end. It was then primered and sent to the paint shop.

The interior was still in fairly good shape, so Scott only replaced the bad pieces. He also installed a B&M shifter and Autometer gauges. The car originally came with a 283 and Powerglide, but Scott replaced those with a healthy 355 and a TH-350. Scott's brother runs a machine shop and performed all the assembly on the motor and tranny.

Scott enjoys knowing that he and his family did everything except the paint work. He is now 20 years old and plans to keep the car forever. Future plans include a custom interior and a tubbed rear end.
