1969 Camaro SS
Engine: 454 bored .060" with 4-bolt mains, TRW 7-1 forged blower pistons, Weiand 8-71 polished blower, 10% underdriven, (10lbs. max. boost) Brodix alum. heads ported and polished, Crower hyd. blower cam with roller rockers, dual 650 cfm Edlebrock carbs, MSD 6AL ignition, custom machined street and performance serpentine belt driving Weiand alum. water pump and billet specialties alternator, oversize Griffin alum. radiator and Hooker HPC-coated headers. 700 hp@6200 rpm runs through a 400 automatic with a GER 10" race converter to a 9-inch Ford rear end with 3.90 gears.
Body: Stock 1969 Camaro SS with bolt-on fiberglass cowl hood.
Paint: Hugger orange with pitch black stripes applied by Wades Auto Body.
Interior: Supplied by Year One, stock houndstooth with deluxe door panels, carpet and all new rubber moldings.
Driving Impression: With 700 hp and the GER race converter you just bring the rpm up to the point where the tires begin to break loose and then back off a hair (usually about 6000 rpm) and hold on for the ride! I drive it on the street every chance I get and it's a real puppy until you get into the boost and then everything breaks loose!
