Year One Customer Car Show

1967 Camaro

1969 Camaro SS

Steve bought his Camaro in November of 1996 and has put in a lot of time and money getting it to its current outstanding condition. He purchased the car after being told it had the numbers-matching 350, but soon found it had a non-original 327 in it!

Making the most of a bad situation, Steve decided to rebuild the 327 and soup it up a bit. He took the car to Leach Brothers Motor Sports, who bored the motor .040" over and added a mild cam and domed pistons. Steve bolted on a Holley 650 double pumper and Hooker headers with custom-bent 2.25" pipes and high-flow mufflers. The car has a 3.73 rear end and will bark the tires in fourth gear. Steve enjoys firing up his ‘67 and surprising the youngsters in their new Z/28s and Mustangs.

Steve recently wrote to say that on July 19, 1998, he won his first trophy at the Kolping Schutenfest Festival Car Show. Congratulations Steve!
