The Year One Cup is awarded to the single vehicle judged most worthy by an elite group of industry V.I.P.s and the invited editors and publishers of the major industry publications. The award consists of a 24% Italian lead-crystal cup accompanied by a $5,000.00 Year One Gift Certificate and an amenity package.
The winner of the 2002 Year One Cup is Doug Nichols of Statesville, N.C., with his 1967 Nova SS. Doug credits his father with helping him build his show-winning vehicle. Doug, who is a cancer survivor, works as a restaurant equipment and supplies specialist and is a husband and father. Our congratulations go out to Doug and his family for achieving this prestigious award. The beautiful 1967 Nova SS is equipped as follows:
