All participants in the True Street Challenge must first complete a 30-mile cruise before racing begins. The only work allowed on the cars after the cruise is adjustment of tire pressure and the opening of nitrous bottles if the vehicle is so equipped. All participants will make 3 passes back-to-back. The three runs will be averaged, with the quickest average e.t. declared the winner. All True Street vehicles will line up in the staging lanes prior to first pass. After the initial pass is made, True Street Challenge vehicles must enter the return lane in front of the pit-side grandstands. After every car has made their first pass, the second round begins immediately, with all cars once again entering the return lane for their third and final pass. No work is allowed on the cars between runs except for repacking of parachutes. If the use of a parachute is mandated based on the vehicle performance, the parachute must be safely re-packed and ready to run by the beginning of the next round. If a car fails to make all three runs, it is disqualified. If a driver fouls, he/she is disqualified. Legality of cars and race procedures are at the discretion of race officials. Race officials reserve the right to disqualify any participant with due cause. |
