Muscle on the Mountain is a drag race category that allows anyone to run their car as long as Year One sells parts for it and it is street legal. Titles and insurance cards are checked before you could participate in the race. The race is broken down into 17 classes: 1964-72 Chevelle/El Camino/Monte Carlo, 1966-74 Mopar B/E, 1966-74 Mopar A/C, 1964-72 Skylark/GS, 1964-72 Cutlass/442, 1967-81 Firebird, 1964-72 LeMans/GTO, 1962-74 Chevy II/Nova, 1967-81 Camaro, 1958-72 Impala, 1978-88 G-body, 1967-87 Truck, 1964-1/2-73 Mustang, 1979-2001 Mustang, 1982-2002 Camaro/Firebird, 1991-96 GM B-body, and a miscellaneous class. So, as you can see, you can pretty much race anything. Awards were given to the first and second place winners of each category. The winners of each category are decided by the fastest run, with each person getting two runs. Unfortunately, the threat of rain caused all racing events to push up Saturday, so the Muscle on the Mountain participants only got one run. Still, it was a great event with tons of exciting runs.
