The bet for the 2002 Bristol Bash employee Grudge Match was Aaron "Tow It Home" Holmwood and his Rusty Crusty Duster vs. Tim Motes (aka Sparkles) orange-striped Camaro. Waging war again on the drag strip, Tim Motes wanted to redeem himself from his pink-haired redlight at last year’s Bristol Bash. This was a heads-up, no-holds-barred, run-what-ya-brung duke fest of Chevy and Mopar namesakes. Honor and dignity were at stake, as the untimely loser will have his head shaved bald, with the exception of the winning car's logo sculpted on the back of his head. He will also have to sing "I'm a little tea pot" in front of the crowd at Bristol and at Year One (for those who do not get to attend). This recital will be complete with all the proper motions of the song as well.

Every Year One employee was in the stands when these two pulled up to the water traps. The odds were in Tim’s favor since he had a couple of test and tune runs before the race and Aaron had not taken any runs. Aaron was taking a big risk by racing in a grudge match that he had no time to prepare for. They lined up, and before you knew it the race was on. Aaron’s reaction time was .661, and Tim’s reaction time was .616. Tim lost the lead for a fraction of a second, but regained and beat Aaron with a 13.42 at 105.23 mph. Aaron ran a 14.245 at 95.77 mph. In the end, preparation was the key to success, and now Aaron was going to have a Bowtie on the back of his head for a couple of weeks, and Tim would have bragging rights for a year.
