F.A.S.T. = Factory Appearing Stock Tire. Basically, take a group of stock appearing muscle cars, tweaked and tuned by the owners for drag racing, and let them loose on the dragstrip in a head-to-head shootout. What you get are cars that look and sound stock, but pull 11s and 12s on the dragstrip. They turn these times on reproduction stock-sized bias ply tires (or equivalent radial tires), while running correct carburetors, intake and exhaust manifolds, cylinder heads and no larger than 2.5” stock-style exhaust systems. No traction bars, headers, open exhaust or nitrous are allowed here. It makes for some great drag racing.
